My diapers are bloody

The only arguement that I can think of to justify gay marriage is that if we don't let them get married some of them might turn away from their fagness and try live as normal people, which would lead to them spreading their AIDS to our women.

I believe that the government should pass a bylaw requiring all women to wear a patch on their clothing, (size, colour and shape to be determined by the state), which will indicate whether they are menstruating or not.

I will vote in the next federal election for the first candidate that punches Gilles Duceppe in the face. That's all it really takes to win my vote and I can't think of a more important issue facing our nation today.

I work with many Eastern Europeans and after years of observing them I have come to the following conclusions:
1) they have little or no understanding of North American society, especially when it comes to economics.
2) most of their women are whores, especially the Russians and Ukrainians.
3) hygiene is not a priority for them

I have finished The Unteleported Man. It was pretty good, but the style was very strange. Dick didn't have much sense of flow in his writing, and while it was quite original and entertaining the amateurish qualities of the work definitely diminished its value. But how much can you really expect from science fiction?

Currently I am reading The Waste Land and Other Poems by T. S. Elliot, and Disgrace by J.M. Coetzee, (2003 nobel laureate). Both are excellent and if you have not already read them I suggest you do so. By the end of this weekend I should be finished both and thus be on track to read 5 books this month, which was my goal. I will read one more book in the final week of January, perhaps Woody Allen's Getting Even.

I finished "Being There" this afternoon. While I enjoyed the book, I am a little confused concerning the ending, specifically on how it differs from the movie. Kosinski wrote the screenplay, so I can only assume that he felt that scene in the movie in which Chance walks on water was a visual necessity to fill a gap between what is possible via literature and the obvious problems brought about by the inherent deficiencies of other mediums, when one attempts to reinvent literature through them. Or maybe the scene in which Chance walks on the water was some obscure byproduct of making the film. Maybe Kosinski actually thought that something was lacking in the novel, or had an additional commentary he wished to add that was fulfilled by that scene. The ending has generated much controversy as its meaning is uncertain. One of the primary themes in the book involved people investing qualities in Chance that were altogether inappropriate. Maybe Kosinski was making the statement about Jesus Christ. Chance is not a sympathetic character in my opinion, and neither is Christ. Despite was some may claim I didn't see Chance as possessing some kind of grace or innocence. I saw him as an idiot, an honest one without pretension, by dumb as a lump of shit nonetheless.
Perhaps a futher investigation into "The Career of Nicodemus Dyzma" will shed some light on this matter.

Next book is "The Unteleported Man" by Philip K. Dick.

Today being the first day of 2006 I am embarking on my self appointed task of reading 50 book between today and December 21 2006. I am starting with "Being There", by Jerzy Kosinski. It is a short book and having read more than half of it this afternoon, I expect to be finished before the end of tomorrow. I have already selected several books to read this year and have decided to start off with a few shorter works in order to get a good start. I have to read these books as quickly as I can, without of course sacrificing comprehension in any fashion. I am hoping to read more than 50, but I doubt that will be possible as I am involved in many other projects, not the least of which is learning another language.
